Job summary

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) seeks a dedicated full-time food service attendant to prepare patient meals, maintain sanitary work areas, and support tray line operations. You will also deliver courtesy trays and portion meals for patients in accordance with menus and guidelines.

Working in a fast-paced healthcare setting, you will uphold safety standards, process confidential information, and contribute to the overall patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient meals according to menu specifications and guidelines.
• Maintain safe and sanitary workspaces and adhere to procedures.
• Assist with patient room service and tray line positions.

Job description

Location: UHealth Tower - Full-Time Prepares patient meals in a safe and sanitary fashion. Maintains safe and sanitary workspaces. Performs patient room service and tray line positions. Makes and delivers courtesy trays. Portions food for patients according to menu specifications and established guidelines. Performs dish room procedures correctly. Cleans and sanitizes all pots and pans. Breaks down equipment, utilizing appropriate procedures and practices. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
