Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Student Food Service Worker at Tiffin University to assist in food preparation, station setup, and guest service in the dining areas.

You will interact with guests, maintain cleanliness, and support coworkers in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork and reliability. This entry-level role offers growth opportunities and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and store properly, respecting temperature requirements.

• Follow guest service procedures: smile, eye contact, and greeting guests.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment per client and regulatory rules.
• Maintain a fast pace and multitask effectively.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils
• Interact with guests in the serving, retail and dining areas
• Follow proper guest service procedures whenever interacting with others by smiling, making eye contact and greeting guests
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all client and regulatory rules and procedures
• Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask when performing duties

Requirements:

• Previous food service experience preferred
• Strong work ethic
