Job Description

As a Food Service Worker, you’ll assist with food prep, portioning meals, and serving our loyal customers. With guidance from your manager, you’ll learn on the job and make great connections with the people we serve. Job Responsibilities

1. Lead all aspects of and assist in preparation of food items for the day and dating products.
2. Coordinate and assist in setting up and breaking down stations designated by the manager.
3. Cook and otherwise prepare foods according to recipes and directions.
4. Responsible for use of accurate portions when preparing and serving items on the line.
5. Maintain daily temperature logs.
6. Take samples of all food items on the line prior to serving to customers.
7. Alert management and pull food items that do not meet quality expectations.
8. Complete opening and closing station checklists.
9. Greet customers as they approach and leave the serving line.
10. Ask customers about the quality of their service and handle any complaints while maintaining a positive attitude and smile.
11. Maintain a clean work station, including floors, work areas, equipment, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
12. Ensure all work areas and serving utensils are cleaned and sanitized.
13. Dispose of waste from the service line accurately.
14. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
15. Assist with daily safety observations and report hazards immediately.
16. Cross-train in different areas as needed.
17. Work in concessions, catering, and special events as required.
18. Perform tasks assigned by your manager on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
19. Complete any tasks requested by a supervisor or management team.
20. Lead the team working on the line to ensure timely and effective service, requesting support for sanitation issues as needed.

Qualifications

4. Serve Safe Certification.
5. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
6. Food Service experience preferred.
7. Requires frequent lifting/transporting hot food items.
8. Ability to work in a kitchen environment with heated equipment, steam, loud noise, chemicals, and other risks.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
