Description

RSU #73 seeks a dependable and motivated individual to join our school food service program at the High School serving grades 9-12. Primary job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, preparing and serving meals to students and staff, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, as well as providing friendly service to all. Candidates will also be required to help with inventory and stocking supplies. This position is a school-year position with daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions and work well as part of a team with good communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous food service experience is preferred, as is cooking experience
• Must take and pass a State Sanitation and Food Safety Managers course within one year of employment
• Maine State Law requires all school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) for a Department of Education experience working with students with social and emotional challenges preferred.

• Payscale for Food Service applicants is dependent on experience: Base 0 $19.72 / hr to 20+ $21.41 / hr
