We value our employees and the diversity they bring. As a Food Service Worker, you will serve meals to Navy recruits, sailors, students, and staff according to meal schedules. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, scullery work (automated dishwasher), ID checking, transporting food from kitchen to serving line, and salad bar attendant duties.

Responsibility Level

Perform various duties such as scullery work, serving meals, cashiering, ID checking, transporting food, maintaining kitchen and facility areas.

Principal Duties

• Prepare galley for meal service (15%)
• Assist with setting up steam tables, dessert bars, drink stations, and product lines (20%)
• Fill hot boxes with food (5%)
• Serve customers courteously and efficiently
• Empty trash at meal end or as needed (5%)
• Clean equipment and dining areas during and after meals (50%)
• Assist as a scullery runner (5%)
• Follow safety procedures and report violations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Experience in food service preferred, but not required
• Must obtain base security clearance

Core Competencies

• Follow oral, visual, or written instructions
• Operate relevant equipment

Physical/Sensory Demands

• Ability to stand long periods, full range of motion
• Lift up to 25 pounds
