Location: Frost Valley YMCA

We are hiring immediately for seasonal FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions.

Address: Frost Valley YMCA - 2000 Frost Valley Road, Claryville, NY 12725. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Seasonal schedule; June 13th to August 31st. 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and 11:00 am to 8:00 pm; days may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: No previous experience required.

Perks: Free shift meals and willing to train!

Pay Rate: $17.25 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
  2. Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
  3. Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
  4. Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
  5. Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
  6. Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
  7. Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
  8. Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
  9. Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
  10. Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
  11. Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.
