Job summary

Brevard Achievement Center is seeking a Food Service Worker for Patrick Space Force Base Riverside Dining. The role focuses on keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean, complying with times and quality standards, and supporting food service operations.

Ideal candidates may have up to 6 months of food service experience; required items include a Food Handler's Certificate within 3 months, ability to pass background screening, and drug testing.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for assuring assigned job tasks are completed within contract time frames and quality standards.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Clean dining tables, wash dishes, pots, pans, coffee urns, glasses, and flatware.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• No minimum experience required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have or be able to obtain Rood Handlers Certificate within 3 months of date of hire.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a background screening for access to the work areas.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 months of Food Service experience

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE)

• Must be authorized to access and work on government installations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks.
• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to operate computerized POS system and handle cash.
• These requirements can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Tasks are regularly performed inside with little chance for exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, rain, fumes). Occasional, short-term exposure to cold while working in walk in refrigerator.

Availability: Monday & Tuesday, 8am-2:30pm, Thursday & Friday, 8am-2:30pm, Sunday, 11am-7:30pm
