Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. in Springfield, OH seeks a Part-time Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen operations inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve meals following menus, train staff, and uphold safety and quality standards.

The position requires weekend/holiday availability, 3 days per week (12pm–6pm) and Sundays (9am–2pm). $17/hour with benefits and growth opportunities in a secure work environment.

Qualifications

• We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.

About This Position

Must be available to work some weekends and holidays

Part-time position

Scheduled days will rotate

3 days per week 12pm to 6pm

9am to 2pm Sundays

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.
