Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen staff inside the Harnett County Detention Center. The role involves preparing and serving meals, training staff, and maintaining a safe work environment.

The position is part-time, mornings 5:30am–9:30am, five days a week, with some weekends. Wage is $16.00/hour, and the company offers DailyPay and a Rookie’s Fast Track bonus within 60 days.

• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

This position is working inside a jail/correctional facility at the Harnett County Detention Center.

Food Service Supervisor Overview

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food. You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 21 years of age.
  • We require prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
