Cook-Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Communicates and coordinates daily with Food Service Supervisor/ Manager on strategies to accomplish production and maintain quality standards.
- Cooks and prepares various entrees, vegetables, sandwiches, and other menu items using standardized recipes.
- Offers and serves correct portions to comply with patient diets.
- Assist in the cooking, preparation and service of food for special events when required.
- Checks foods for taste and temperature.
- Replenishes food items as needed.
- Prepares needed foods for next day's production.
- Train and orient new staff in work area.
- Assist in the cross training of employees
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Three to six months\' related experience and or training preferred
- Food handler card or SERV safe certificate preferred
