AVI Foodsystems within the Pittsburgh Area Schools is seeking friendly, service-oriented Food Service Workers to join the team on an on-call as needed basis. This role pays $20.00/hr and works wherever staff are needed within the Pittsburgh School District.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to communicate with other team members and departments with professionalism.
• Maintain a professional relationship with all team members, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils
• Interact with guests in the serving, retail and dining areas
• Follow proper guest service procedures whenever interacting with others by smiling, making eye contact and greeting guests
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all client and regulatory rules and procedures
• Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask when performing duties
• Perform any other duties as specified by management
• Willing to drive to different locations within a 60 minute radius
• No reimbursement for gas, mileage or drive time

The AVI Foodsystems operation within the Pittsburgh Area Schools is immediately hiring friendly, service-oriented people to join our team.
