AVI Foodsystems, Inc. in Pittsburgh area schools is seeking an on-call Food Service Worker to support dining operations across multiple locations as needed. If you have a passion for food service and flexible availability, this role offers meaningful work and opportunities to grow.

The on-call position pays $20.00 per hour and requires the ability to travel within a 60-minute radius to different school sites. Join a team dedicated to delivering quality service in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to communicate with other team members and other departments with professionalism and respect.
• Maintain a professional relationship with all team members, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils
• Interact with guests in the serving, retail and dining areas
• Follow proper guest service procedures whenever interacting with others by smiling, making eye contact and greeting guests
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all client and regulatory rules and procedures
• Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask when performing duties
• Perform any other duties as specified by management
• Willing to drive to different locations within a 60 minute radius
• No reimbursement for gas, mileage or drive time

The AVI Foodsystems operation within the Pittsburgh Area Schools is immediately hiring friendly, service-oriented people to join our team. If you have a passion for food and are looking for an opportunity that also provides a great work/life balance, on-call as needed filling the Food Service Worker role that will work when staff are needed. This position will work where needed/as needed on-call @ $20.00/hr in the Pittsburgh School District.

Duties & Responsibilities:
