Job Details

• We are hiring immediately for on-call FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions.
• Location: Sparta Area Schools - 465 South Union Street, Sparta, MI 49345. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: On-call schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Pay Range: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour.
• Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available

Job Summary

Prepares, presents, and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
2. Weigh and measure ingredients.
3. Carry pans, kettles, and trays safely.
4. Store food properly following safety procedures.
5. Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
6. Distribute supplies and utensils.
7. Use approved recipes and standards for quality and portion control.
8. Serve customers courteously and efficiently.
9. Resolve customer concerns and communicate with supervisors.
10. Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and inventory procedures.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
