Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is seeking qualified individuals to join our team! MCCS is a comprehensive program dedicated to supporting and enhancing the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others within the Marine Corps Community. We provide a team-oriented environment that includes military personnel, civilian employees, contractors, and volunteers committed to the smooth and effective operation of the organization.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to organize assignments logically, perform multi-step tasks, and use judgment to complete tasks accurately and on time. Capable of serving individual portions uniformly. Knowledge of weights, measurements, and reading recipe cards for items like spreads and dressings. Basic arithmetic skills and ability to follow instructions. Working knowledge of sanitation procedures to prevent contamination, spoilage, and waste. Ability to assist lower-grade food service workers.
Responsibility: Understands the steps needed to complete work and follows specific oral or written instructions. Uses judgment to ensure sanitation, attractiveness, timeliness, safety, and service standards are met. Supervisor periodically checks work for timeliness and adherence to instructions.
Physical Effort: Involves light to moderate physical effort, including frequent lifting or moving objects, standing, and walking. Can lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and over 45 lbs with assistance.
Working Conditions: Work areas may be warm and noisy. Exposure to minor cuts, bruises, burns, scalds, and slipping hazards on wet floors. Exposure to extreme temperatures in hot kitchens and walk-in refrigerators.
