    Clarification from the agency

    U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. Territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. Applicants need to ensure that they have selected the appropriate Employment Eligibility option(s) in the Applicant Questionnaire and submit applicable supporting documentation.

    Duties

    • Performs a variety of routine manual tasks in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures. Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold items such as salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages.
    • Removes dishes and trays from tables after meals. Washes tables and counters. Prepares food by sorting, washing, peeling, and cutting fresh fruits and vegetables.
    • Operates, breaks down, and cleans all equipment assigned to the area for food preparation. Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks, and refrigerators.
    • Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, silverware. Loads and operate dishwashers.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Conditions of Employment

    • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
    • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
    • A one year probationary period may be required.
    • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
    • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
    • Incumbent must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
    • Satisfactory completion of physical examination.

    Qualifications

    Ability to understand and follow oral instructions and do simple tasks that are easy to learn.

    Highly Preferred Criteria: Has work experience in fast food or a restaurant.

    Applicants who meet the Minimum qualifications, & Highly Preferred Criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.

    • The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is the local commuting area. (Within a 50-mile radius of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, GA).     PCS Costs

    • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

    FWS Allowances and Differentials

    • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
    • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
    • Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.

    Incentives and Bonuses

    • Incentives will not be paid.

    Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances

    • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
