Job Description:

Under the leadership of the department director and their assigned supervisor, the Food Service Worker I has a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

1. Dishwashing, pot washing, environmental cleaning, sanitation, and waste disposal
2. Bussing tables
3. Delivery and retrieval of patient trays and/or carts
4. Delivery of food and non-food supplies
5. Stocking of food and non-food supplies
6. Basic food and beverage production

Experience:

Fluency in English (oral and written), ability to read and write in English, and passing a basic reading and math test are required. The ability to work quickly and accurately is essential. Basic food and beverage production skills are required. Food service experience is preferred.

Education:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education or experience in a related field is required.

Licensure/Certifications:

California Food Handler’s Card required at the time of hire or within three months of employment.

Assigned Work Hours:

Per diem, varied days and shifts as needed. No guaranteed hours in a two-week pay period. This is not a full-time or part-time position.

Pay Range (based on experience):

$23.94 to $32.01 per hour

Shift Differentials:

• Evening Shift: $1.69/hour
• Night Shift: $2.53/hour
