Overview

As part of BJC HealthCare, Parkland Health Center offers a unique combination of world-class medicine along with deep local roots and a rich history from its three predecessors – Bonne Terre Hospital (1911), Mineral Area Regional Medical Center (1952), and Farmington Community Hospital (1969). Parkland Health Center has two locations in St. Francois County, Missouri – a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington and a rural emergency hospital in Bonne Terre. It provides quality inpatient and outpatient services to the residents of St. Francois County and surrounding areas.

Additionally, Parkland’s Farmington campus offers inpatient, medical-surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, emergency services, and outpatient services including oncology, infusion, wound care, and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center. Bonne Terre operates as a Rural Emergency Hospital providing emergency and outpatient services such as medical observation, lab, radiology, and sleep studies.

The Dietary Department supports the nutritional well-being of patients, visitors, guests, and staff daily.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Responsible for performing food service functions such as setting up service areas with food, utensils, garnishments, food portioning, serving, sanitation, operating cash register, assembling patient trays, and assisting with customer requests. Food preparation may also be performed at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional and friendly customer service, adhering to food safety and portion guidelines.
• Assembles meals according to menu, diet orders, and protocols.
• Prepares work area, organizes supplies and products before, during, and after shifts.
• Cleans and sanitizes workstations and utensils.
• Uses equipment and materials safely and properly.

Supervisor Experience: No experience required

Preferred Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED
