Genuine Foods is hiring a Food Service Worker for a higher education setting at Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School in Hollywood, FL. You will prepare and serve food following daily menus, engage with students, teachers, and parents, and support a mission to provide healthy, scratch-made meals.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Prepare menu items per recipes and prepare raw ingredients.
• Coordinate with Culinary Lead and kitchen team.
• Cook and assemble items per specifications.
• Stock, clean, and maintain kitchen and service areas.
• Interact with scholars and teachers to provide excellent service.
• Report workplace issues to Culinary Lead.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

The Food Service Worker position will be located at a higher education setting. The food server performs a variety of job responsibilities relating to: preparing and serving food in accordance with the daily menu and recipe standards; engaging students, teachers and parents in Genuine Foods’ mission. There are opportunities to learn culinary skills to advance your career. We are a supportive team that values and respects each other. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students and educators and has a superior customer service orientation.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Make menu items pursuant to recipes.
• Prepare raw foodstuffs to get ready for final cooking.
• Follow the lead of the Culinary Lead at all times.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team at all times.
• Cook and assemble all menu items pursuant to specifications.
• Stock and organize the kitchen area.
• Clean and maintain cooking utensils.
• Interact with scholars and teachers as needed to provide excellent service.
• Maintain clean service areas.
• Any other duties assigned
• Alert Culinary Lead of any workplace problems

Qualifications

• Must be flexible & team-oriented!
• 1-3 years of food or customer service experience/training in a mid-high volume food service facility or restaurant.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and level headedness.
• Punctual and able to adhere to the time and attendance policy.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up 50 lbs.

• Must be able to work in a school environment
