Job summary

Genuine Foods is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve meals in a higher education setting. You will follow recipes, prepare raw ingredients, and collaborate with the Culinary Lead and kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality meals for students and staff.

You will interact with scholars and teachers to provide excellent service, maintain clean service areas, and support a positive, team-oriented environment in a school facility.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of food or customer service experience/training in a mid-high volume facility.
• Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain a positive attitude and work ethic in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Make menu items pursuant to recipes.
• Prepare raw foodstuffs for final cooking.
• Follow the lead of the Culinary Lead at all times.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team at all times.
• Cook and assemble all menu items per specifications.
• Stock and organize the kitchen area.
• Clean and maintain cooking utensils.
• Interact with scholars and teachers to provide excellent service.
• Maintain clean service areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
