Job summary

Chartwells School Dining Services K12 is seeking full-time and part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions at the Flint Cultural Center Academy. The role involves preparing, presenting, and serving food, along with various food safety and service responsibilities.

• Store food following food safety and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distribute supplies and utensils.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.

Chartwells K12 is hiring full-time and part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER positions at the Flint Cultural Center Academy (1200 Robert T Longway, Flint, MI 48503). Applications are submitted online only.

Pay: $14.50–$20.00 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available.

Work schedule: Full‑time or part‑time schedules; Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM, 10:30 AM–2:00 PM, or 10:30 AM–6:00 PM. Specific hours will be discussed during the interview.

Job Summary

Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
