Overview

We are seeking a Food Service Worker, also known as a Cafe Worker or Food Service Associate. The role involves working in our hospital cafeteria, preparing, serving, and delivering meals, ensuring food safety and cleanliness, and adhering to dietary guidelines. Responsibilities include supporting patient nutrition, healthcare hospitality, serving staff and visitors, maintaining kitchen equipment and inventory, and contributing to overall food service operations.

Bonus Options: up to $1,000 (Paid out as stipends every 90 days)

Shift Available: Days

Employment Type: Full-time

Hours: 6:30am - 3:00pm (Every other weekend required)

Responsibilities

**Experience as a dietary aide (Food Service Associate) in a healthcare setting is encouraged to apply.**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve food to patients, staff, and visitors
• Ensure food safety by following hygiene and sanitation guidelines
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, slicers, or dishwashers
• Stock supplies and maintain inventory
• Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Take and fulfill meal orders according to dietary guidelines for patients
• Handle cash or operate a register for cafeteria transactions

Qualifications

Additional Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred (starting July 1, 2017)

County-specific requirement: Not required at this location

• County-specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current
