We are hiring immediately for part-time Food Service Worker/Cashier positions.

Location: Burke County Public Schools - 412 Kirksey Drive, Morganton, NC 28655. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part-time; Monday through Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Job Summary

Summary: Performs cashiering duties and general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in food prep, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Measures ingredients.
2. Carries pans, kettles, and trays, and distributes supplies safely.
3. Stores foods properly, following safety and rotation procedures.
4. Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils.
5. Ensures sanitation and safety compliance.
6. Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality and portion control.
7. Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
8. Interacts with customers and resolves complaints professionally.
9. Relays information to supervisors.
10. Performs sales transactions, enters sales, and handles payments and refunds.
11. Manages cash drawers and change funds accurately.
12. Replenishes condiments, beverages, and supplies, maintaining cleanliness.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
