+ We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions.

+ Location: Duval County Public Schools - 2924 Knights Lane East, Building 5, Jacksonville, FL 32216. Note: online applications accepted only.

+ Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules. Monday through Friday; hours may vary; more details upon interview.

+ Requirement: Previous food service, cashier, and customer service experience are preferred but not required.

+ Pay Rate: $13.75 per hour.

Job Summary

Performs cashiering duties and general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in food prep, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Measure ingredients.
2. Carry pans, kettles, and trays safely; distribute supplies and utensils.
3. Store foods properly, following safety and rotation procedures.
4. Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
5. Ensure sanitation and safety compliance.
6. Follow recipes and standards for quality, temperature, and portion control.
7. Serve customers courteously and efficiently.
8. Resolve customer complaints professionally.
9. Relay information to supervisors.
10. Perform sales transactions accurately.
11. Handle cash, make change, and process payments.
12. Issue receipts and refunds per procedure.
13. Manage cash drawer and change funds responsibly.
14. Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies; maintain cleanliness.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
