FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Join us for the FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME) role at Chartwells School Dining Services K12.

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions at Duval County Public Schools, located at 2924 Knights Lane East, Building 5, Jacksonville, FL 32216. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time, Monday through Friday; hours may vary. More details provided upon interview.

Requirements: Previous food service, cashier, and customer service experience are preferred but not mandatory.

Pay Rate: $13.75 per hour.

Job Summary

Performs cashiering duties, general food service work, and maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service, and dining room facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables; weigh and measure ingredients.
• Transport food, supplies, utensils, and equipment safely.
• Store foods properly, adhering to safety and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
• Follow recipes and standards to ensure quality and proper portioning.
• Serve customers courteously and efficiently, resolving complaints amicably.
• Relay information to supervisors and perform sales transactions accurately, including handling cash and other payment methods.
• Manage cash drawer, issue receipts, and handle refunds responsibly.
• Replenish supplies and maintain cleanliness of the service area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
