We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions.

Location: Clio Area Schools - 1 Mustang Drive, Clio, MI 48420. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior culinary, customer service, and cashier experience in a K-12 environment is preferred.

Pay Range: $13.75 to $14.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Performs cashiering duties and general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in food prep, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Measures ingredients as needed.
2. Carries pans, kettles, and trays to and from work stations, following safety standards. Distributes supplies, utensils, and equipment.
3. Stores foods properly, following safety, wrapping, and dating procedures.
4. Maintains cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
5. Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
6. Uses approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, proper serving temperatures, and portion control.
7. Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following steps of service.
8. Interacts with customers and resolves complaints courteously.
9. Relays relevant information to supervisors.
10. Performs sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and accepting various payment methods.
11. Issues receipts and handles refunds following standard procedures.
12. Manages cash drawer and change funds responsibly.
13. Replenishes condiments, beverages, and supplies while keeping the area clean.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
