Job Summary

Summary: Performs cashiering duties, including general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and dining facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weigh and measure ingredients.
2. Transport pans, kettles, and trays of food safely between work stations, stove, and refrigerator. Distribute supplies, utensils, and equipment.
3. Store foods properly, following wrapping, dating, and safety procedures.
4. Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
5. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
6. Use approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, temperature, and portion control.
7. Serve customers courteously and efficiently, following service steps.
8. Interact with customers and resolve complaints professionally.
9. Relay relevant information to supervisors.
10. Perform sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and issuing receipts.
11. Make change, accept various payment methods, and handle refunds following procedures.
12. Manage cash drawer to meet overage/shortage standards.
13. Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies; maintain cleanliness of service area.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
