+ Location: Van Andel Institute - 333 Bostwick Avenue Northeast, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Note: online applications accepted only.

+ Requirement: Prior cashier, salad bar prep, stocking, and customer service experience preferred.

Job Summary

Performs cashier duties and general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in food prep, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties include:

1. Food prep: washing, peeling, cutting, seeding fruits and vegetables; measuring ingredients.
2. Transporting food and supplies safely.
3. Storing foods properly with adherence to safety standards.
4. Cleaning work areas and equipment.
5. Ensuring sanitation and safety compliance.
6. Using recipes and standards for quality and portion control.
7. Serving customers courteously and efficiently.
8. Handling customer interactions and complaints professionally.
9. Relaying information to supervisors.
10. Processing sales transactions accurately.
11. Managing cash drawer and receipts, ensuring compliance with cash handling standards.
12. Replenishing supplies and maintaining cleanliness.
13. Performing additional duties as assigned.
