Punahou’s food services involve feeding over 3,600 students and 600 faculty and staff daily, offering a variety of healthy options emphasizing fresh fruits and vegetables, low-fat, high-protein meats, locally sourced produce, minimal processed foods, no artificial trans fats, no high fructose corn syrups, and no deep-fried foods, along with sustainable practices.

We are actively recruiting a Full-Time Regular Food Service Worker to support our cafeteria team. Responsibilities include preparing, serving, and storing food, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment, performing routine cashiering, and operating the point-of-sale system. Regular attendance is essential for efficient operation, staffing, morale, and productivity.

Position Details:

• Work Year: 10.5 Months
• Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (schedule may vary)
• Minimum Hourly Rate: $17.00/hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of food preparation experience or equivalent
• Knowledge of point-of-sale systems preferred
• Food Handler Certification or equivalent required; ServSafe preferred; must obtain within 6 months if not already certified
