Job Objective

Prepares and serves meals. Performs additional food service duties as directed.

Physical Demands

Level 1: Medium strength (frequently lifting/carrying 11 to 25 lbs.). Duties require communicating verbally, visual acuity, manipulation, reaching, standing/walking, and stooping.

Essential Functions

• Prepares/serves food, maintains a sanitary kitchen, performs ancillary duties.
• Follows menus, uses recipes, complies with USDA guidelines, reduces waste, records food usage, addresses dietary restrictions.
• Complies with health and food safety regulations.
• Sets up serving lines, maintains presentation, replenishes food, provides alternatives.
• Operates cash register/POS, handles money correctly, respects privacy of meal information.
• Records meals served, prepares deposits, resolves discrepancies.
• Operates dishwasher, cleans surfaces and equipment, stores leftovers properly.
• Assists with deliveries, verifies quantities, reports shortages/spoiled products, organizes stock.
• Performs job with attention to detail, develops respectful relationships, maintains professional appearance.
• Respects privacy, maintains attendance, communicates effectively, fosters goodwill.
• Refers policy questions appropriately, supports diversity and inclusion, pursues skill development.
• Keeps current with standards, updates skills, follows emergency procedures, complies with safety protocols.
