Base Pay Range

$14.40/hr - $18.46/hr

New Hampshire Veterans Home, 139 Winter St, Tilton, NH 03276

Position: Food Service Worker, #TMPPT3157

Schedule: 10:30am - 7:15pm, with varying weekends (additional $2.00/hour)

Job Summary

Assist in serving and preparing nutritionally balanced meals according to a menu and safety standards.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of eighth grade or equivalent; additional education can substitute experience.
  • Experience: Six months in food service roles like waiter, waitress, or dining room attendant.
  • License/Certifications: None required.
  • Additional: Must maintain good personal health and sanitation habits.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up trays for food distribution.
  • Assist with meal service, including taking orders, serving residents, and cleaning.
  • Operate dishwashers and other kitchen equipment.
  • Assist with tray passing, cleaning tables, and maintaining stock in work areas.
  • Participate in cleaning and sanitation tasks.
  • May assist in food preparation and training new staff.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.
