Job summary

SSP America is hiring Food Service Workers to join our team at San Jose International Airport. You will prepare, serve, sell and stock food and beverages, greet guests, enter orders into the POS, and handle payments.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast food, quick service, or coffee shop is preferred.
• Ability to greet guests warmly and maintain a positive attitude.
• Comfort with handling payments and operating a POS system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and beverages for guests.
• Serve, sell, and stock items as needed.
• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payments and provide correct change.
• Follow recipes and portion controls for accuracy.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
• Perform general cleaning to meet health standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Here are a few things you can expect as a Food Service Worker:

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.

• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required.
• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
