Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America)

Responsibilities
  • Consistently checks own work area and removes outdated, expired and mishandled food items.
  • Works on patient tray line and assembles food trays as marked on food menu orders with adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Food preparation, assembling, arranging, portioning, and labeling food tray items for hospital patients accurately, following food order menu instructions and safety standards.
  • Participates in inventory control by informing the manager of low or out-of-stock situations.
  • Operates and cleans equipment such as plate warmers, heat on demand systems, steam tables, scales, refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and food preparation appliances.
  • Maintains awareness of policies and procedures, including menu changes, recipes, and portioning procedures.
  • Participates in quality control, assurance, and improvement activities.
  • Maintains prepared foods and purchased items according to policies, labels, dates, and FIFO rotation.
  • Follows procedures for working with hazardous foods, avoiding holding such foods in the danger zone (41°F - 135°F).
  • Maintains a clean, organized work environment.
  • Incorporates the Mission of Richmond University in serving patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Completes tasks within shift time, communicates any incomplete assignments to the manager.
  • Reports problems and priorities to the manager.
  • During low census, assists with restocking, cleaning, organizing, and supporting co-workers.
  • Follows cleaning procedures, including scrapping trays, operating dish machines, storing service ware, and floor care.
  • Uses proper PPE and dispenses cleaning solutions safely.
  • Follows waste management and recycling policies.
  • Complies with OSHA and other safety regulations.
  • Provides courteous customer service to visitors, patients, and staff.
  • Completes annual required training on time.
  • Restocks work stations to maintain supply levels.
  • Follows procedures for time off requests and clocking in/out.
  • Ensures work station cleanliness and prevents cross-contamination.

Salary Range: $23.912/hr - $25.201/hr
