Job summary

Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia is seeking a Per Diem Food Service Worker to join our hospital team. In this role you will prepare and deliver patient trays, assist in the cafeteria, and help on the tray line to support patients and staff.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred and a county-specific food handler certification upon hire. You will work daytime shifts in a fast-paced health care setting, with a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• County-specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver patient trays and service cafeteria duties.
• Work on tray line, stock storage areas, and prepare nourishments.
• Perform dishwashing, pot washing, and cleaning (mop/sweep) and trash removal.

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 131-bed community hospital. The hospital has been serving the medical and health care needs of the Roxborough, Manayunk, East Falls and northwest section of Philadelphia communities for more than a century, having first opened its doors in 1890. Roxborough Memorial Hospitals School of Nursing has been educating nurses since 1898. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation's oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of patient and non patient food service duties such as preparing and delivering patient trays, servicing the cafeteria, working on tray line, stocking storage areas, preparing nourishments, dishwashing and pot washing, mopping and sweeping of floors and emptying of trash as well as other related tasks.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• Starting July 1, 2017, High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
