This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT. The initial cut-off date for referring eligible applications will be May 23, 2025, and applicants will be referred on an "as needed" basis thereafter. The announcement remains open through July 25, 2025, but may be extended. Vacancies may not currently exist at all locations but could occur before the closing date. Applicants will be notified at the time of referral.
This range is provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. The base pay range is $17.60/hr - $20.54/hr.
This position involves duties such as cleaning serving and production areas, operating dishwashers, transporting trays, setting up food service areas, and performing other related tasks.
Schedules vary; may include rotating weekends and holidays. Work is performed in kitchen environments with high temperatures and humidity. Physical tasks include lifting objects up to 20 pounds regularly and over 40 pounds with assistance.
Applicants must demonstrate sufficient training or experience. The position uses the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications and includes a screen-out element related to reliability and dependability.
Employment is contingent on meeting all conditions, including drug testing, background checks, and completion of onboarding. Credit for prior federal or military service may be granted for leave accrual purposes.
