Description
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Nutrition Services and Executive Chef, performs area-specific duties to provide food services to patients, residents, employees, and visitors while following sanitation procedures.
Essential Functions
- Prepares and portions entrees, sandwiches, desserts, beverages, and salads for patients, residents, and the cafeteria.
- Cleans work area and performs daily cleaning as assigned.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, residents, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
- Promotes effective working relations and works as part of a department/team to meet goals and objectives.
- Follows work procedures and priorities, reporting problems to a supervisor or manager.
- Follows safety and personal hygiene standards, infection control, ODH, and HFAP guidelines.
- Prepares supplies and assembles trays.
- Assists with unpacking, handling, and storing food and supplies.
