About This Position
The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising inmate labor and team members in a correctional food service environment. This includes preparing and serving food according to menus and work instructions, utilizing food prep utensils and machines, and maintaining sanitation standards.

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service
• Prepare and assist in food preparation according to recipes and work instructions
• Ensure proper storage and sanitation of food
• Serve food on schedule following policies
• Utilize kitchen equipment properly
• Follow food safety regulations
• Train other food service workers
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
• Follow uniform policy
• Manage waste and cleanliness
• Ensure environment is ready for food prep and serving
• Review portion sizes and utensils
• Promote a safe work environment
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in institutional or restaurant food service is a plus
