Job Description

The Food Service Worker will assist the manager with food/meal preparation; maintain cash receipts and meal records. Assist the manager in completing daily reports. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.

Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
2. Prepare daily reports verifying transactions
3. Understand meal inclusions
4. Store food accurately and hygienically
5. Serve food according to schedules and policies
6. Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
7. Prepare a variety of food items, beverages, and garnishments
8. Coordinate and assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and equipment
9. Follow food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage
10. Adhere to uniform policy
11. Communicate with the Manager daily to understand and prepare the menu
12. Supervise food temperature requirements
13. Maintain a clean and organized work area
14. Clean counters, sanitize equipment, and perform general cleaning duties
15. Maintain neat garbage collection and kitchen floor areas
16. Perform other assigned duties, including in other kitchen areas
17. This role may involve physical activities like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and PPE may be required.
