Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide the flexibility and knowledge to multitask in a restaurant and/or catering atmosphere as a Food Service Worker. This position is located at the Drydock Quick Service Restaurant, and other satellite locations as needed.

Duties include:

• Makes a variety of fruit and vegetable salads, serves food in standard portions, and assists with catering events.
• Prepares sandwiches, coffee, tea, and other menu items, and stocks merchandise and grab-and-go items.
• Serves food to diners in a professional, sanitary, and friendly manner, emphasizing positive customer service.
• Sets up food service counters, steam tables, and dining areas with hot and cold foods.
• Performs tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance as needed, and maintains cleanliness of equipment and facilities.

Other duties may include moving garbage cans, cleaning equipment, and washing dishes.

Requirements

• Must obtain and maintain a security clearance and be at least 18 years old.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and comply with military and federal employment regulations.
• Probationary period of one year for full-time and part-time employees; flexible employees employed based on business needs.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 months of customer service experience; experience in food/beverage service preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain professionalism, and operate a POS system is preferred. Responses must be included in the online application.
