Hours & Location:

Part-time, Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at Manor Middle School

School days only, 28.75 hours per week, up to 178 days per school year.

Overview:

The job of the Food Service Worker is responsible for providing support for all food service related activities within the assigned location. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food items to students, facility and staff, maintaining the facility in a safe and sanitary condition, and complying with all mandated Federal/State/Local health requirements and HHFKA. This position reports to the Cafeteria Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the set-up of the serving line, assemble proper serving utensils, serve food at correct temperatures, serve lines; clean between serving periods, efficiently and with a positive attitude.
2. Assist with food preparation according to Food Service Manager’s directives.
3. Maintain temperature records for each lunch line.
4. Prepare the dish room by filling detergent and drying agents to begin operations.
5. Ensure the washing, rinsing, and sanitation of all pot sinks.
6. Clean and sanitize the dish machine inside and outside.
7. Practice safe food preparation, care of equipment, and maintain strong sanitation standards.
8. Attend training seminars, workshops, staff development opportunities, including banquet work and school district functions.
9. Maintain a la carte inventory, keep items stocked, and perform cashier duties.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma necessary
• A minimum of one-year food service experience
