About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor (Shift Supervisor) accurately and efficiently prepares and serves a variety of food items according to work instructions and menus. This role involves using various food preparation utensils and machines.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about food and service, has a solid understanding of food handling regulations, is eager to learn, dependable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Essential Functions/Core Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and/or team members during food prep and service shifts.
• Prepare and instruct inmate labor or team members in making various food items following standards and recipes.
• Follow safety and housekeeping practices in all meal preparation and service activities.
• Perform other duties as needed by the business.

What You'll Need

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in institutional food service or restaurants is a plus but not required.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification is preferred, with an additional $0.25/hr pay increase upon certification, which we provide training for.
