Duties
Major duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Work Schedule: Rotating, 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., with every other weekend and holidays OR every weekend 11:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., 12:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and holidays.

Physical Requirements: Work is performed in kitchen areas where the steam and heat from cooking and dishwashing equipment often cause uncomfortably high temperatures and humidity. Performs work requiring light to moderate physical effort. May be required to perform heavy work, such as scouring and scrubbing large size cooking utensils and pushing heavy carts and trucks in unloading, storing, and delivering supplies. Subject to continuous standing and walking, and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending. Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 20 pounds unassisted and occasionally lifts or moves objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Experience: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality to perform the duties of this position. Evidence must be supported by detailed descriptions on your resume. Applicants will be rated according to OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.
Screen-out Element: Your qualifications will be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which appears as question 1 in the online questionnaire. Those meeting at least the minimal requirement are considered further; those who do not are eliminated. The remaining applicants are rated on other job elements such as Dexterity and Safety, Follow Directions, Handle Weights and Loads, Reliability and Dependability, Food Service Aptitude, and Work Practices.
Experience includes paid, unpaid, volunteer work, and service through programs like Peace Corps or AmeriCorps. Volunteer work can provide valuable skills and experience. Credit is given for all qualifying experience.
Note: A full year of work is considered 35-40 hours per week. Part-time experience is credited proportionally. Applicants must clearly indicate duties and hours worked.
Education: No education requirement.
