Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to manage inmate labor and kitchen teams inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of foods following menus and recipes, using standard kitchen equipment, and report to a Food Service Director.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and, preferably, prior institutional food service or restaurant experience. The role is on-site with a 4-on/3-off schedule and 10-hour shifts.

• Preferred prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.

About This Position

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

Schedule - Days of the Week

4 days on 3 days off, 10 hour shift.

2:30am-12:30pm (Sunday-Wednesday)

9:00 am-7:00 pm (Wednesday-Saturday)

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • We require a high school diploma or GED, and that you are at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • We prefer prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
