Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health & Human Services, Glencliff Home, is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker for full-time shifts. Responsibilities include assisting cooks, preparing beverages and meals, serving residents and staff, and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in line with facility standards.

Experience is not required beyond the 8th grade; substitutions between education and work experience are allowed per policy.

Qualifications

• 8th grade education required.
• No licensure or certification required.
• Experience substitutions allowed per policy: education for experience and vice versa.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation according to menus and dietary orders.
• Prepare beverages and snacks; serve food to staff and residents.
• Label and portion trays; distribute trays to dining rooms.
• Clean utensils, dishes, and work areas; operate dishwashing equipment safely.
• Stock dietary areas with supplies and maintain equipment; report breakdowns.

FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Multiple positions. All shifts. $14.40/hour - $18.46/hour. 2nd Shift differential $1.20 per hour. Weekends rotated.

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health & Human Services, Healthcare Facilities, Glencliff Home has a full-time vacancy for a Food Service Worker.

Performs routine and repetitive duties in assisting cooks and other food service personnel in the preparation of meals, cleaning of cooking and serving utensils and work areas.

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS : Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in preparation of food, following dietary orders, to meet requirements of menus.
• Makes beverages such as coffee and tea; prepares snacks and supplemental dietary orders.
• Serves food to staff and to residents, per diet order or supervisor's instructions.
• Prepares trays of food for distribution following individual diet orders. Labels items to ensure delivery to the proper areas.
• Distributes food trays to various dining rooms via large food carts.
• Cleans serving/cooking utensils, dishes and pots/pans and work and eating areas in accordance with federal nursing facility standards.
• Operates dishwashing machine, mixers, slicers, or other food service equipment following safety procedures; cleans and maintains equipment and reports breakdowns to supervisor.
• Stocks dietary areas, including refrigerators and freezer, with supplies.
• Removes waste from work areas and disposes of it in dumpster, following health standards.
