Responsibilities

One of our cleint in the government domain is seeking a Food Service Worker to support daily food service operations in a high-volume food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, serving, sanitation, dishwashing, stocking, and general kitchen support while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

Job Title: Food Service Worker (Morning Shift)
Location: 100 Moccasin Bend Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37405
Schedule: Monday - Sunday (All Days Available)
Hours: 7.5 Hours Per Day

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Service

• Assist cooks and bakers with basic food preparation tasks.
• Prepare food items including:
  • Toasting bread
  • Boiling or frying eggs
  • Grilling bacon and hamburgers
  • Slicing fruits and vegetables
  • Grating cheese
  • Preparing simple toppings and purees
• Portion ingredients according to written instructions.
• Assemble special diet trays based on prescribed meal requirements.
• Serve food and replenish serving lines as needed.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, serving, and food storage areas.
• Maintain steam tables, food displays, coffee urns, tea dispensers, and beverage stations.
• Dishwashing machines
• Food carts
• Ovens and grills
• Shelving and storage areas
• Empty trash and clean garbage containers.

Dishwashing & Sanitation

• Wash pots, pans, dishes, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Hand wash items as required.
• Stack and store clean dishware appropriately.
• Follow all sanitation and safety procedures.

Inventory & Support Functions

• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
• Support storekeeping activities and maintain organized storage areas.
• Perform lifting, carrying, stocking, and setup duties as needed.
