Wage Rate

$14.00/hour + $400 new hire bonus

Position Details

We are hiring for both full-time and part-time roles. This position is located inside a jail/correctional facility. The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for supervising inmate labor and team members assisting with food service in a correctional setting. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food according to menus and work instructions, utilizing food prep utensils and machines, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service
• Prepare and assist in food preparation according to recipes and menus
• Ensure proper food storage and sanitation
• Serve food during scheduled meal times
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment properly
• Follow food safety regulations
• Train other food service workers
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
• Follow uniform policy
• Manage waste and keep the kitchen environment clean
• Ensure proper portioning and service utensils
• Promote a safe work environment
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, standing for long periods
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, at least 18 years old
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience
