Job summary

Reavis High School District 220 is seeking a Food Service Worker to support the school cafeteria operations by preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals while upholding food safety and customer service standards.

Responsibilities include setting up serving stations, replenishing items, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the meal period. This part-time role runs 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on weekdays, with benefits such as insurance and holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–40 pounds.
• Previous food service experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Position Summary

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items according to the daily menu
• Set up and break down serving stations
• Replenish food during meal service
• Clean and sanitize work areas, counters, and equipment
• Complete required food safety documentation (HACCP) accurately and on time
• Follow all district food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned
