SFE- Southwest Foodservice Excellence is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to support daily school cafeteria operations. You will prepare and serve food, maintain cleanliness, and assist coworkers to ensure smooth service for students and staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to safety standards, with a full-time schedule Monday–Friday, occasional events, and a focus on a positive dining experience within the school community.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check and fingerprint screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food according to recipes, production records, and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and service area.
• Stock serving lines, salad bars, and milk coolers.
• Follow proper procedures for food storage, rotation, and sanitation.
• Serve meals to students, staff, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Assist with putting away deliveries and organizing inventory.
• Sweep, mop, and take out trash as needed.
• Follow all local, state, federal, and company health regulations.
• Step in to assist team members or cover shifts as needed.
• Submit reports and meet deadlines as assigned.
• Carry out any additional duties to support the kitchen team and school meal program.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Must be able to stand for an entire shift and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Full-time schedule

Monday through Friday, with occasional extended weeks

May require participation in company events or meetings
