Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Food Service Worker I to perform non-cooking duties including dishwashing, cold prep, salad production, serving and cashier tasks. You’ll also pass trays, load carts and help with cleaning and receiving supplies.

This role emphasizes courtesy, punctuality and teamwork in a hospital setting, with English fluency required to communicate with patients, guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a service-related environment/industry.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes and handles cleaning tasks.

Position Details:

Preferred Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Preferred Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in a service-related environment/industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Maintains relationship with patients and customers to attain quality satisfaction of food.
• Is courteous, considerate and cooperative when communicating with all patients, guests, team members, and hospital personnel.
• Ability to work in direct contact with a variety of foods.
• Able to meet schedule requirements (attendance and punctuality).
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
