Job summary

Mercy in St. Louis is seeking a Food Service Worker I to wash dishes and support all non-cooking functions, including cold prep, salad production, serving, cashiering, tray passing, loading carts, and cleaning.

Required is at least 1 year of service environment experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Mercy offers medical/dental/vision coverage, PTO, tuition support, and retirement plans for team members working 32+ hours per pay period.

Qualifications

The Food Service Worker I (FSW‑I) is primarily responsible for washing dishes and supporting all non‑cooking functions. Additional duties include cold prep, salad production, serving, cashiering, tray passing, loading carts, general cleaning, and receiving.

Position Details:

Shift: 5 am to 130pm and/or 6 am to 230pm

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a service-related environment/industry.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Certifications: None
• Other: Maintains relationships with patients and customers to attain quality satisfaction with food. Is courteous, considerate, and cooperative when communicating with all patients, guests, team members, and hospital personnel.
