Job summary

Boone Memorial Health is seeking a dependable Food Service Technician to join our Dietary Services team. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals for patients, residents, visitors, and staff while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma, a Food Handler's Card, and strong customer service and teamwork skills to ensure quality dining and compliance with dietary guidelines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold food items following recipes and portion guidelines.
• Review menus and assist with meal preparation to ensure patients receive meals that meet their dietary needs.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following HACCP, infection prevention, and departmental procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Receive, stock, and rotate food and supplies while assisting with inventory and food orders.
• Assist with cafeteria operations, including operating the cash register and providing friendly customer service.
• Complete daily cleaning and sanitation responsibilities.
• Work collaboratively with fellow team members and other departments to provide an excellent dining experience.

• Review menus and assist with meal preparation to ensure patients receive meals that meet their dietary needs.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following HACCP, infection prevention, and departmental procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, including hot and cold kitchen areas.
